DEGREES IN PSYCHOBIOMECHANICS AND POSTURE THERAPY

The San Diego University for Integrative Studies offers programs in Psychobiomechanics and Posture Therapy, designed for practicing professionals and mature adults seeking to broaden their working knowledge of contemporary mind and body therapy approaches in the 21st century global health.
Psychobiomechanics and Posture Therapy is the integration of biomechanics, posture analysis, therapy and psychology, representing an innovative and unique program new to the medical field. By understanding all aspects of the patient, from physical to mental, you can better understand the root of the problem and how to approach treatment. Our classes offer research-based applied techniques for future holistic professionals.
For centuries doctors and scientist have attempted to define the relationship between the mind and the body. One cannot function without the other, proving a unique and interesting interdependence. Our classes investigate this relationship and the effects the mind has on the body.
Students will learn the importance of the connection between psychology, physical posture and personality type. They will learn how to make accurate biomechanical evaluation and prescribe therapeutic exercises. Students will develop therapists and patient communication skills, focusing on practical applicability and helping patients improve their overall health.
