BACHELOR OF ARTS IN HUMANISTIC STUDIES
This program examines our civilization from a holistic, rather than a
reductionist, point of view. This is your opportunity to study people
and cultures by examining the power of the mind, the complexity of the
physical development of the body, and the impact of our spiritual essence
as a member of the universal community. It is designed for students who
appreciate the complexities and the unlimited opportunities in this lifetime.
The focus is on issues and topics that are important, at times controversial,
and always challenging. The curriculum has been designed to combine independent
study with regular student discussion groups and guest speaker workshops.
Traditional academic subjects are addressed across disciplinary lines
and from cross-cultural perspectives making this program stimulating and
exciting to the student who seeks intellectual challenges. This program
also prepares you for direct admission into the graduate school level
courses in Psychology.
