General Information
Age
Requirement
Students must be at least 16 years old to enroll in our program.
Payments
Your fees must be paid in full before you can attend classes.
Visas
In order to become our student you must obtain an F-1 visa from a
U.S Embassy or Consulate in your country.
Library
All SDUIS students have the privilege to use the UCSD library. A small
monthly fee is required.
Medical Insurance
Students studying in our program are required to have medical insurance.
The proof of medical insurance must be submitted along with your tuition
payment. SDUIS can assist you with finding the right coverage upon
your arrival at IEP. The cost is approximately $53 to $85 per month.
Advisors
Academic advising is available to those students who wish to apply
to SDUIS or any other U.S. college.
Internet
During your studies at IEP all students will have free access to language
labs with the internet and e-mail connection.
Homework
Homework assignments are given on a regular basis. They are assessed
and corrected by your Instructors and are an important part of your
studies.
Simple Rules
The two most important academic rules to which you must follow are:
attend all scheduled classes, unless permission has been given to
be absent; and speak only English with fellow students at the school.
Our administrative staff and faculty speak many languages and will
help if you have difficulties with English.
What to Bring to San Diego

• Beachtowel, sunscreen, swimsuit
• Only bring electrical appliances that work on the US voltage:
110 volts/ 60mhz
