Intensive English Program (IEP)

We offer open enrollment throughout the year. Students may begin class on any Monday. We offer small classes with emphasis on personal attention, which guarantee our students the maximum learning opportunity and more attention from your instructor.

Schedules are carefully prepared individually for each student depending on their English level and interests.

The completion of IEP advanced level waives the 530 TOEFL score requirement at SDUIS for admission to a degree program.

Students will receive an IEP Certificate of Completion and progress report describing your abilities in each skill area.

Our diversity enables you to practice English through interaction with students from other countries.

Instructions are given exclusively in English with de-emphasis on translation and an emphasis on conversation.

Discussion of American culture is integrated within all courses throughout the curriculum. Important parts of educational program at SDUIS are fieldtrips where students visit points of interest around San Diego. These include San Diego ZOO, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and nearby mountain and desert sites. Students may participate in all trips at discount rates.
